The setting
This Melbourne business supplies genomics and molecular biology technology to scientists, researchers and clinicians. Its work includes product guidance and technical applications support across Australia and New Zealand.
Within its office, the team wanted space for face-to-face meetings as well as a quieter place to focus.
The pod
A FocusPod Team was installed beside the existing office desks and shelving. It creates a defined, enclosed setting within the wider workspace.
The photographed white exterior and glass frontage keep the pod visually connected to the office. Its purpose here is everyday office work and conversation.
The detail
The brief combines two familiar needs: a place to meet another person and a place to concentrate. One pod provides a dedicated setting for those activities alongside the existing desk area.
